Seminar: Privacy Matters - Ensuring Confidentiality

Description

Privacy is about the protection of sensitive personal and corporate data, while confidentiality focuses on the protection of that data from unauthorized access. This seminar deals with emerging technologies and challenges in the fields of privacy and confidentiality within digital ecosystems. 

The format represents an academic conference, including paper writing, submission, review, rebuttal, revision, presentation, and discussion.

Possible topics are, e.g.: Trust Value Scoring between Peers; Decentralized Social Media; Automotive Confidentiality; Attacks and Countermeasures of Mixnets; Privacy enhancing technologies
The final list of topics will be presented in the Pre-course Meeting.

Course Objectives

* Know and understand different aspects of data privacy and confidentiality.

* Prepare, write, and review a scientific paper in LaTeX (English; IEEE Conference Proceedings Template; 10 pages excl. list of references and appendix)

* Present and discuss the topic (English; 25 minutes presentation + 15 minutes discussion)
